In the line LEGNA-MERINO, the company avoids pollutants during the anti-felting treatment. With a revolutionary process that enables the merino wool to remain machine-washable without the use of chlorine, they set a benchmark with this innovation, proving its commitment to ecological sustainability. The company then blends the merino wool with wood-based fibers to achieve a yarn of unique properties. The yarn is bluesign®-approved and tested according to Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®.
Product NATIVA™ wool garment
Garlita is aiming to become a waste-free textile manufacturer, including their production in NATIVA™ wool. Moreover, the knitting machines at Garlita are quite precise, which allows to maximize material utilization and minimize scraps. In the future the company plans to install even more innovative equipment, where waste generation can be avoided altogether with the use of ready-to-wear technology which allows to knit, shape and connect pieces with only one machine within a single process, omitting the need of manual cutting.
The company is ISO standard 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and produces all electricity needed with its own solar power plant.
