The Social Program

A tool to strengthen heritage, sediment culture, and provide opportunities for future generations.

Our social programs extend alongside our NATIVARegen™ farms, supporting the women surrounding the fiber – those keeping the craft alive, holding families together and by extension, entire communities.

We take a place-based approach by partnering with local NGOs like Red IBX in Uruguay, who work locally to understand the needs of each region, designing a plan of action that is relevant, applicable and impactful.

Partner brands are able to join our social activations by choosing the programs most aligned with their goals, or even crate a custom one from scratch.

We work alongside artisan women living in rural areas surrounding NATIVARegen™ farms, supporting them as they strengthen their entrepreneurial skills and continue developing their craft in knitting, weaving and textile production through a collaborative model.

The women connect through virtual workshops, WhatsApp groups and special in-person sessions, building both skills and community along the way.

A few weeks ago, the women in Uruguay gathered at the Manos del Uruguay workshop in Trinidad, Flores, where four full-time artisans welcomed them into their workspace — part of a nationwide network dedicated to improving the quality of life of women in rural Uruguay through artisanal wool craftsmanship. During the afternoon, they learned to use hand knitting looms and crafted a baby blanket — a central element of a newborn kit created within the program.

The women realized that what once took hours by hand could now be completed in minutes with this new tool. But the exchange was about much more than efficiency.

It was an afternoon of giving and receiving knowledge, training, support, ideas, tools, mentorship, and time. It was heartwarming to witness the women share the passion and love of their craft with one another, and inspiring to see the eldest passing down their decades-long knowledge. A testament to collaboration as a tool to strengthen heritage, sediment culture, and provide opportunities for future generations.
