Away from classrooms and screens, sustainable fashion went from theory to tangible: human, complex, interconnected.
Early in 2026, we welcomed a delegation from the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) to our headquarters in Uruguay. Led by Andrée-Anne Lemieux, Director of Sustainability at IFM and Arnaud Khodjamirian, Sustainability Project Manager, four students enrolled in the school’s Sustainability Certificate Program chose NATIVA™ as a case study within their curriculums. Introduced by Camille Herry of Chargeurs Luxury Fibers, and after months of interviews with our sourcing, sustainability, and marketing teams, we had the opportunity to welcome the team on the ground.
We visited two NATIVARegen™ farms located in the north of Uruguay: Los Manantiales and La Corona, as well as Lanas Trinidad, our combing mill. On the farms, the delegation met the farmers and gauchos who steward the land and care for the sheep. They experienced firsthand the depth of generational knowledge, their commitment to native land preservation and instinctive dedication to animal and people welfare.
Under sun-kissed horizons, pink sunsets and star-lit skies, conversations unfolded naturally. Away from classrooms and screens, sustainable fashion went from theory to tangible: human, complex, interconnected.
