An unlikely setting for farming, La Ernestina is an oceanic establishment located in the natural reserve area of Peninsula Valdes.

Widely known for its whale spotting, people travel from all corners of the globe to stay at La Ernestina and take in the immersive experience of being fully detached from city life. During peek season, spreading from early December to late March, whale lovers spend their days on the rocky beach, patiently waiting to capture a glimpse of the moment when whales jump onto the shore to hunt.

The reason why whales come to these shores is the presence of penguins and seals that live there all year round. However, they are not the only animals on these extensive lands. Sheep also find home in the arid soils of La Ernestina.
